Le Comité de gestion des revenus pétroliers du Logone occidental à l’œuvre.
Le Comité provincial de gestion des revenus pétroliers affectés à la province du Logone occidental a organisé un atelier technique, ce 15 mai 2024, dans un hôtel de la place. Objectif, valider la note conceptuelle de son projet relatif à l’adaptation au changement climatique et à la résilience.
Ce projet est intitulé : « renforcement de l’adaptation et la résilience au changement climatique par le développement convergent de l’agriculture, l’élevage, le reboisement et la gestion rationnelle des ressources en eau dans le bassin du fleuve Logone ». Il est porté par le comité provincial de gestion des revenus pétroliers affectés à la province du Logone occidental, avec appui-conseil du cabinet ‘’Smart Capital Associates USA. L’objectif global dudit projet est de s’adapter au changement climatique, et renforcer la résilience face aux effets négatifs conséquents, afin d’assurer aux populations une alimentation suffisante, saine et durable.
A l’ouverture des travaux, le président du comité de gestion des 5% des revenus pétroliers affectés à la province du Logone occidental, M. All-Yom Djerambetté a justifié que la validation d’une note conceptuelle permettra de justifier l’importance et la pertinence du projet et d’intégrer toutes parties prenantes dans la lutte contre le changement climatique, en vue de solliciter les bailleurs de fonds pour le financement du projet de 5000 hectares de riz et de l’élevage dans le Logone occidental. Ceci, ajoute-t-il, pour répondre aux besoins quotidiens de base dans la province.
Après la phase protocolaire, les participants, issus de différents horizons ont échangé dans la sérénité et en toute franchise autour de la note conceptuelle sur le projet. Après quelques observations et propositions faites par les uns et les autres l’amélioration de la qualité du document, les participants l’ont à l’unanimité.
A noter que le projet contribuera de manière considérable à l’atteinte des ODD. De manière précise, il permettra de : éliminer l’extrême pauvreté et la faim ; réaliser l’éducation primaire universelle ; promouvoir l’égalité des sexes et l’autonomisation des femmes ; réduire la mortalité infantile ; améliorer la santé maternelle ; combattre le VIH /sida, le paludisme et d’autres maladies ; assurer un environnement durable et mettre en place un partenariat mondial.
