Gouvernement: Les expériences d’Ahmat dans le commerce sont un  atout

L’une des compétences non des moindres dans le gouvernement de Dr Masra Succès est bel et bien Ahmat Abdelkerim Ahmat. De la Direction générale des Douanes et Droits indirects, il est nommé ministre de l’Industrie et du Commerce. Mais qui est-il pour être hissé à ce poste ? A sa découverte.

La « solution à la douane tchadienne », comme l’appelaient certains de ses collaborateurs, après juste quelques mois à la tête de cette Institution, Ahmat Abdelkerim Ahmat est une icône pour le développement socio-économique du Tchad. Né le 13 juin 1976, il est l’un des cadres Tchadiens, formés au Lycée Sacré Cœur de N’Djaména, où il obtient  son baccalauréat.Technicien supérieur en commerce International, il est aussi titulaire d’une maitrise en Administration des affaires/Commerce international, obtenue à l’Institut africain d’administration et d’études commerciales de Lomé au Togo et d’une autre maitrise en Administration des affaires et gestion globale, obtenue à Sup’ Mangement à Casablanca/Maroc. Aussi, diplômé de Sciences Pô Paris (Institut d’Etudes politiques de Paris), notamment, en management de développement, Ahmat Abdelkerim Ahmat a travaillé à la Direction de Celtel Tchad en qualité de Responsable Administration de Vente avant d’être promu à la SDV-Bolloré Tchad, en qualité de Responsable des opérations. Dans cette institution internationale, il sera nommé en 2013, Directeur général adjoint/Bolloré Tchad où il a assuré avec détermination, la gestion opérationnelle et commerciale.

Rigoureux et travailleur, il sera nommé Directeur général Pays de Bolloré Tchad, puis Directeur du cluster Corne de l’Afrique, toujours pour le compte de la multinationale Bolloré Transport &Logistics avant de devenir Directeur Général pays / CEO Bolloré Transport & Logistics Niger. C’est de là qu’il sera localisé par l’Etat Tchadien qui fera appel à lui pour revenir redresser la douane tchadienne déjà en agonie, en son temps. Ayant l’amour de la patrie, notamment pour son développement socio-économique, Ahmat Abdelkerim Ahmat abandonnera sa fonction à Bolloré où il faisait pourtant retentir le nom du Tchad, pour devenir Directeur général des Douanes et Droits indirects. Peu de temps après sa prise de fonction, il entamera des réformes louables au sein de cette Institution dans le but de faire de la douane tchadienne une administration moderne, efficiente et efficace au service d’une économie émergente à l’horizon 2025, performante au service de la création de la valeur au Tchad. Cette volonté le conduira à mener des opérations contre les contrebandiers et les agents véreux de la douane qui bloquent l’essor de l’économie tchadienne. L’intégration de plusieurs jeunes diplômés en douane à la Fonction publique est aussi à mettre à son actif.

Ouvert à la presse tchadienne sur qui il comptait pour mener à bien ses missions, Ahmat Abdelkerim Ahmat reste déterminé à aller au bout de son projet de réformes. Mais c’est aussi en ce moment que les plus hautes autorités du pays ont besoin de son expertise au plus haut niveau pour booster l’économie. Il sera donc nommé Ministre de l’Industrie et du Commerce le 2 janvier 2024. Une compétence confirmée, un choix réfléchi et un poste mérité pour l’envol de l’économie nationale. Au vu de ses expériences d’une vingtaine d’années à Bolloré et de son séjour à la tête des Douanes et Droits indirects, Ahmat Abdelkerim Ahmat est bien ce technocrate, ce travailleur et ce digne fils du Tchad qui pourra apporter davantage son expertise à la construction de l’économie à travers ce poste. Familier des enjeux des partenariats public-privé, de digitalisation et de connectivité durable (RSE, local content) en Afrique, il dispose de larges épaules pourgérer le portefeuille. En attendant de le voir de plain-pied à l’œuvre, bon vent !
