Les ressortissants du Canton Goré ont organisé une cérémonie de réjouissance à l’honneur de leur sien, Djimadoumbaye Mbangmadji Gédéon pour son élévation au grade de général de brigade. La cérémonie a eu lieu ce 13 juillet 2024 au domicile du récipiendaire au quartier Atrone dans le 7ème Arrondissement.
C’est dans un climat de fraternité, de convivialité mais aussi et surtout d’émotions que cette cérémonie s’est déroulée, en présence des parents, frères d’armes, amis et connaissances, sortis nombreux jubiler l’élévation de Djimadoumbaye Mbangmadji Gédéon au grade de général de brigade. Occasion pour le président du comité d’organisation, Sainbé Marcel de relever que Djimadoumbaye est militaire depuis le temps de Ngarta et qu’il devait être général il y a longtemps. Mais, « comme toute chose dépend du bon Dieu, voilà c’est aujourd’hui il devient général », a-t-il exprimé tout en remerciant les autorités du pays pour avoir reconnu les efforts et la capacité de l’homme pour le hisser à ce niveau.
Prenant la parole à son tour, le récipiendaire s’est dit ému d’être entouré par les siens. « Je ne m’attendais pas à voir ce nombre aujourd’hui, surtout en cette période de pluie. Je suis vraiment surpris de votre considération envers moi. A vous tous qui m’avez honoré ce matin, je vous suis très reconnaissant. Ma gratitude à mon épouse qui ne cesse pas de prier pour moi. Dieu dans sa grâce, a exaucé ses prières. En cette circonstance, j’ai une pense pieuse à l’endroit de mes pères qui ne sont plus de ce monde. Leur souhait était de me voir devenir un jour, Général.
