Le thème retenu pour la commémoration de cette édition est : « Accélération de la transformation numérique de la Douane ». Un thème révélateur des reformes et autres innovations à apporter dans ce corps pour le rendre plus efficace et adaptable aux différents enjeux de ce monde en perpétuelle évolution numérique. « La Douane tchadienne à l’instar de celles du monde se perfectionne chaque jour pour répondre aux exigences du développement par la technologie avancée, telle que défini par le thème de la commémoration de cette édition. ce pas géant à marquer dans ce monde des technologies pour ainsi répondre aux attentes de nos clients, partant, assurer le développement durable de notre pays ainsi que la sécurité de nos concitoyens à travers nos services comme la lutte contre la contre bande ne pourrait voir le jour sans les multiples et variés apports de nos partenaires nationaux et internationaux », a rassuré le Directeur général adjoint de Douanes et Droits indirects, Mbaissidara Marcellin aux diplomates, chefs des grandes institutions bancaires et autres invités de marque, venus pour la circonstance.
Quant au représentant du point focal de l’OMD, Abakar Annour, la communauté internationale à travers cette initiative demeure disponible à aider la Douane du Tchad à atteindre ses principaux objectifs, conformément à sa feuille de route ainsi que le plan d’actions élaboré pour son décollage dans tous les domaines. Dans la lecture du message du directeur général de l’OMD, lu par le point focal, il y ressort que le thème retenu pour la commémoration de cette édition n’est pas le fait du hasard, vu les différents atouts qu’apporte le tout numérique dans la modernisation de la Douane, à rendre plus opérationnelle et efficiente aux exigences économiques et sociales de l’heure.
